Bio:
Dr Roshan Jain is a UK qualified Psychiatrist, De-addiction Specialist and Professor of Psychiatry with over 22 years of extensive experience in general psychiatry, addictions, psychotherapy, teaching and motivational work.
He holds MBBS from JJM Medical College Davangere (Karnataka) India and postgraduate and specialist qualifications from England
He is a Member of the Royal College of Psychiatrists, England, and fully registered with General Medical Council (UK) and Medical Council Ireland. He moved to India in 2011 and has been practising as a Senior Consultant Psychiatrist at Apollo Hospitals Bangalore.
He is also a Professor of Psychiatry at International medical School (Bangalore Branch) and leads the undergraduate psychiatry training programme.
Dr Jain firmly believes that people have the inherent ability to heal themselves and are capable of recovery from illness and emotional difficulties when treated with respect, compassion and warmth
He has worked tirelessly in reducing prejudice and stigma associated with mental health problems through speaking events, mental health awareness seminars/workshops, live TV and radio shows & numerous publications. He has over 100 published mental health awareness and educational articles
He has conducted Stress Management workshops for Income Tax commissioners at IIM- B; Executive MBA students at IIM- B; Indian Economic Services (IES) at IIM-B; Principal commissioners of Income-tax IIMB; and various corporate companies.
In addition, he has started publishing educational audio-visual material on Mind Matters podcast (on anchor.fm/roshanjaindr), MindBlog (on roshanjain.com) and on his YouTube channel called Mindism.
