Bio:

Dr. Zanetti obtained his MD and PhD degrees, as well as did his residency training in psychiatry at the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Sao Paulo (FMUSP), Brazil. From 2009 until 2016, he focused his research activities on the translational investigation of mood and psychotic disorders at the Institute of Psychiatry of FMUSP, working in close collaboration with the Section of Biomedical Image Analysis (SBIA) of the University of Pennsylvania and also participating in the ENIGMA Consortium. In 2017, Dr. Zanetti became professor at the Hospital Sirio-Libanes (HSL), where he established new research lines on the study of both decision-making processes in complex medical situations and the impact of dietary habits on mental health. Dr. Zanetti has contributed to more than 80 peer-reviewed scientific papers so far, now cited over 2500 times. Paralleling to his dedication to research and teaching activities, Dr. Zanetti has always worked as a clinical practitioner as well, and he also coordinates a team of consultation-liaison psychiatry at the HSL, with particular focus on the interface with neurology, pain medicine, oncology and palliative care.”
