H.H. Lt. General Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior, attended a special ceremony hosted by the “Waterfalls Global” initiative, a groundbreaking initiative under the patronage of President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan. Accompanying him at the ceremony was H.E. Amb. Dr. Abdulsalam AlMadani, PAM Roving Ambassador for the GCC Region, and Chairman of Waterfalls Global, along with a high-level delegation from New York University in the USA. Also in attendance were heads of delegations, organisations, and international bodies participating in AEEDC Dubai 2024.

During the ceremony, it was revealed that the initiative has reached a remarkable 2 million beneficiaries spanning across 197 countries worldwide. Over the course of the past four years, the initiative has organized 593 seminars featuring 375 esteemed online speakers, totalling an impressive value exceeding AED 737,994 million. This remarkable achievement has been made possible through fruitful global partnerships with 84 international academic and scientific institutes.

His Excellency Amb. Dr. Abdulsalam AlMadani, Chairman of Waterfalls Global, received in his office today His Excellency Dr. Jacek Siewiera, Secretary of State, Head of the National Security Bureau, Republic of Poland, accompanied by His Excellency Jakub Kacper Slawek, Ambassador of the Republic of Poland to the United Arab Emirates, and a delegation of diplomats and businessmen from Poland. During the meeting, Dr. Abdulsalam Al Madani presented Minister Dr. Jacek Siewiera with the “Waterfalls Global” award for Healthcare Sectors, in the presence of the accompanying delegation and key figures from the award.

The “Waterfalls Global” award is considered one of the highest honors in the humanitarian and medical sectors. It is distinguished by its future-oriented goals aimed at promoting humanitarian values and recognizing the sacrifices and efforts of frontline workers in global communities. A total of 300 participants from around the world were nominated for the award, with 78 of them qualifying, and 15 individuals from the medical field worldwide emerging as winners, including His Excellency Minister Dr. Jacek Siewiera.

The 2^nd Edition of the Waterfalls Global – Health Cyber Security Summit was held on the 27th of November, 2023, during the annual Greater New York Dental Meeting.

The second edition of the Health Cyber Security Summit was held under the theme “Globalized Cyber Security for Safer Communities” and aims to address the pressing requirement to align cyber security systems and policies with patient safety programs to ensure high-quality care while mitigating challenges that can affect clinical outcomes, healthcare organizations, healthcare cyber security providers and protecting patient data.

This event will educate not only the public but also regulators, operators, providers, insurers, academia, influencers, investors, and stakeholders on how to analyze, plan, collaborate, and put into action a sustainable healthcare cyber security system for safer communities.

NEW YORK, 8th March, 2023 (WAM) — The Inaugural official Waterfalls Global Health Cyber Security Summit was held in New York City to shed light on the growing increased dangers of data breach within the healthcare sector.

The summit was supported by the Behavioral Rewards Department at the UAE’s Ministry of Possibilities in collaboration with INDEX Holding.

Healthcare has had the highest average data breach cost of any industry within the past 12 years, reaching a record-breaking US$10.1 million globally, and even recently amounting to a 42 percent rise since 2020. The Health Cyber Security Summit aims to address these issues and align cyber security systems and policies with patient safety programs to ensure high quality care that also protects patient data.

Health Cyber Security Summit’s goal is to educate the private and public sector individuals which range from regulators, operators, providers, insurers, academia, influencers, investors, and stakeholders on how to analyse, plan, collaborate and put into action a sustainable healthcare cyber security system for safer communities all around the world.

The Summit was held at the Javits Convention Centre in Manhattan and featured an international set of expert speakers from cyber security, information technology, and healthcare. Most notably, the keynote speaker for the Summit was Awadh Seghayer Al Ketbi, Director-General of the Dubai Health Authority (DHA), who shared insightful presentations regarding the future of healthcare data, the importance of collaborating with others private and public healthcare institutions around the world, and stressed on the importance of creating a sustainable healthcare cyber security system to safeguard communities.

Al Ketbi stated, “Cyber security is a vital component for every industry because it touches upon personal data. Therefore, we must all come together and join our efforts to protect digital data and systems.

“When we invest in cyber security, we are investing in the future of healthcare. Hence, this summit is very important to discuss the latest advances in Cyber Security and to share experiences with experts,” he added.

The event also introduced an interactive platform between specialists to discuss challenges and opportunities in the field of smart healthcare systems. It also includes a system of continuous education in the healthcare cybersecurity sector to develop qualified professionals.

Participants in the Summit received seven Continuing Medical Education (CME) Credits from The International Congress for Health Specialties – ICHS, a global healthcare accreditation organisation focused on improving the healthcare community worldwide.

ABU DHABI, 5th July, 2022 (WAM) – UAE President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan has received at the Qasr Al Bahr Majlis the winners of the ‘Waterfalls Global Award’ along with a number of the Award’s jury members and staff in the presence of H.H. Lt. General Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior.

The Waterfalls Global Award is a global initiative launched to enhance the capabilities of medical professionals around the world and honours health organisations and individuals who faced frontline adversities during their humanitarian missions.

His Highness congratulated the winners of the award, including frontline doctors, nurses, the families of those who sacrificed their lives while fulfilling humanitarian tasks, and the award’s staff.

The award’s staff reviewed its humanitarian goals and future initiatives, aimed at promoting upholding human values and appreciating the sacrifices and efforts of frontliners in various societies.

For their part, the winners – who were representatives of different countries – expressed their great happiness at winning the global award, being a tribute to the values of giving in the service of humanity at large and a token of appreciation for the sacrifices made by frontliners to safeguard their communities.

The Award was launched by the UAE in November 2021 in implementation of the directives of His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, in what is considered one of the country’s global contributions to honoring the frontliners all over the world in appreciation of their vital role, humanitarian services and sacrifices for the sake of protecting their communities and their safety, especially during the Covid-19 pandemic. A total of 300 participants from around the world were nominated for the award, 78 of whom were shortlisted and 15 won the award.

During his speech at the World Government Summit 2022, His Highness Lieutenant General Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior showcased successful examples of the UAE’s leadership which made the impossible possible, as it challenged the unattainable with its people’s great will and determination.

His Highness also praised the Waterfalls Global Initiative and highlighted how it successfully managed to train 1 million 200 thousand healthcare workers, in 197 countries around the world, which helped the global healthcare sector save more than 480 million AED.
